Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker Mr Karia Munda, believes that "today's leaders do not care about the country nor the society, they have only their own concerns. Leaders are interested to coverage of media for their welfare and they are not bother for their own country while addressing to the peoples at his residence during the  release of the report “Representatives at Work” prepared by NGO 'Mass for Awareness' on the working of the Lok Sabha MPs for the years of  2010-2011. Senior journalist Mr. Manohar Puri and Prof. Baldev Raj Gupta were also present on this occasion.

The organization under his awareness campaign 'vote For India "prepared the report for second consecutive. In this report the working of MPs has been compared to two-year term. Interestingly today the 15th Loksabha also completed their two years. Report analysed the working of MPs on the basis of their presence at Parliament, exit, partnership, MPLADS and other aspects was judged in their age, occupation, education and some other criteria. In his address, Mr. Munda further said that the leaders till seventies purely working for their country and society, but now all the politicians are working for their own welfare. He advocated compulsory voting but clarifying that this is his personal opinion. he further said that while the general public could not learn the importance of their vote ,we would not expect a change in the country and politics. LokSabha deputy speaker openly said that today barely 65 per cent of polling occurred during the elections and a political party fail to find a more than 30-35 percent of vote. The political party only got 30 per cent on the vote make the majority government. He said that all the misconducts in the country caused due to the 'public' inactivity and therefore no good people to wish to join the politics. he said when the general public aware about their power of  vote and their rights provided by constitution, the leaders not conscious about to improve their own working..
     

 Mr. Munda said the Constitution provides the advantage to the peoples to make their own party so many such parties are floating in the country and they are running only by one and two members. If these trends went continuous our one billion country surely will have million parties in near future. We should stop these practices in any cost, said Mr. Munda. He also replied the questions asked by the people attending the program. Editor of the Report and well - known cartoonist Neeraj Gupta informed about his organization and contents of the report. लोकसभा उपाध्यक्ष श्री कड़िया मुंडा का मानना है कि “आज के नेताओं को न तो देश की चिंता है और न ही समाज की,उन्हें केवल अपनी चिंता है.नेता किसी भी तरह ज्यादा से ज्यादा मीडिया में आकर अपना भला चाहते हैं फिर चाहे देश जहन्नुम में जाये.” श्री मुंडा आज अपने निवास पर १५ वीं लोकसभा के दो साल पूरे होने के अवसर पर स्वयंसेवी संगठन ‘मास फार अवेयरनैस’ द्वारा लोकसभा सांसदों के 2010-2011 के कामकाज पर तैयार रिपोर्ट “रिप्रेजेंटेटिव एट वर्क” के विमोचन के अवसर पर उपस्थित लोगों को संबोधित कर रहे थे.इस अवसर पर वरिष्ठ पत्रकार श्री मनोहर पुरी और प्रोफ़ेसर बलदेव राज गुप्ता भी मौजूद थे.

मास फार अवेयरनेस द्वारा अपने अभियान ‘वोट फार इंडिया’ के तहत लगातार दूसरे वर्ष यह रिपोर्ट तैयार की गई है.रिपोर्ट में सांसदों के दो साल के कार्यकाल की तुलना की गई है.रिपोर्ट में सांसदों की लोकसभा में उपस्थिति,बहिर्गमन,भागीदारी,सांसद निधि के उपयोग सहित तमाम पहलुओं को उनकी उम्र,व्यवसाय,शिक्षा जैसी कसौटियों पर परखा गया है. अपने संबोधन में श्री मुंडा ने आगे कहा कि सत्तर के दशक तक नेता देश और समाज की बात करते थे परन्तु अब सभी अपनी-अपनी सेंकने में लगे हैं.उन्होंने अनिवार्य मतदान की वकालत करते हुए कहा कि जब तक आम जनता अपने वोट का महत्त्व नहीं समझेगी तब तक देश और राजनीति में किसी परिवर्तन की उम्मीद करना बेमानी है. हालांकि उन्होंने साफ़ किया कि यह उनके निजी विचार हैं.लोकसभा उपाध्यक्ष ने बिना किसी लाग-लपेट के कहा कि आज बमुश्किल ६५ फीसदी लोग मतदान करते हैं और किसी भी राजनीतिक दल को ३०-३५ प्रतिशत से ज्यादा वोट नहीं मिल पाते.हम महज ३० फीसदी लोगों की मर्जी से चल रही सरकार को बहुमत की सरकार कहते हैं.देश में तमाम गडबडियों का कारण ‘लोक’ की यही निष्क्रियता है और इसलिए अच्छे लोग भी राजनीति में नहीं आ रहे,यदि आम जनता मतदान और अपने अधिकारों को लेकर सचेत हो जाए तो नेता भी सुधर जायेंगे.

श्री मुंडा ने कहा कि संविधान में मिली छूट का फायदा उठाकर हर कोई अपनी पार्टी बनाने में जुटा है.कई दल तो महज एक-एक,दो-दो सदस्यों के सहारे चल रहे हैं.यदि यही हाल रहा तो भविष्य में सौ करोड़ लोगों के बीच सौ करोड राजनीतिक दल बन जायेंगे.हमें इन प्रव्रत्तियों पर हर हाल में रोक लगानी होगी. श्री मुंडा ने कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित लोगों के सवालों के जवाब भी दिए.रिपोर्ट के संपादक और जाने-माने कार्टूनिस्ट नीरज गुप्ता ने रिपोर्ट तैयार करने के उद्देश्य और अपने संगठन के क्रिया-कलापों की जानकारी दी.इसके पूर्व श्री मुंडा का स्वागत रिपोर्ट तैयार करने में अहम भूमिका निभाने वाली नमिता गुप्ता ने किया.कार्यक्रम के अंत में आभार प्रदर्शन मनोहर पुरी ने किया.
